The 2009 Annual Conference was held in the Dumfries Club on Friday 24th April at 14.30.

The business of the meeting was chaired by Andrew Skirving
29 Delegates with voting rights attended plus guests.

A Dinner in the Cairndale Hotel was followed by a social evening in the Dumfries Club

The President, Alex Lynch gave a short address at the Conference highlighting the dwindling numbers attending and the overall drop in membership of the Association which should strengthen the resolution to disband the Areas.


The venue for 2010  is the Isle of Skye Hotel in Perth on Friday 16th April.

National Events 2010

The Super Club sponsored by Scottish Courage, will be hosted by the Rugby Club on Saturday 12th September.

Teams consist of six persons, a lady dart player, gent dart player, lady pool player, gent pool player, a domino and cribbage player of either sex.

Regional Events 2010

The Indoor bowls competition will be held at Glasgow Indoor Bowling Club on Sunday 18th April 2010 round robin format.

The Donald Matheson Quaich at the Stirling Golf .

The Fresh Water Angling Competition  held at the Millhall Reservoir,near Polmont on Thursday 12th June 2008 was won by Iain Wilson for the second year running.
Alex Wilkie was runner-up, again for the second year running

The Bowls Triples for  Ladies and Gents
On Friday 20th June at the Grangemouth Club. Winners: Ladies Hurlford Gents, Perth


Bowls, Ladies/Gents Singles and Mixed Pairs were played at  the West Edinburgh Club on Friday 8th August
Ladies Singles winner was Marion Latto, Perth for the 5th year in a row
Gents Singles winner was Ally McIntyre from the host club and the Mixed Pairs was won by Perth..

The Ladies Pairs and Gents Pairs were held at the Fort William Club on Friday 22nd August.
A beautiful day and fantastic views of Ben Nevis. The gents winners were the host club, and the Ladies
winners were Grangemouth.

Sea Angling, Boats on Thursday 28th August at Girvan, 2 Boats with 19 anglers enjoyed an excellent days
fishing with 160 fish caught. The competition is run on a catch and release basis with each fish caught measured.. The winner was Willie McAlister, Grenock with 10.16 metres, and the Runner-up was Gordon Cuthbert, BT Police with 8.97 metres.

High Handicap Golf at Dunblane, Thursday 4th September. Tee-off from 10.30
Winner Section 'A'  Bobby Lees, West Edinburgh
2 Sections, Handicap 10  -18, and 19 plus.

Darts finals at the Perth Club on Friday 26th September.
Winners were, Singles, Kenny Boa, Pairs, Greenock and team Beattock.

Domino Finals at Glasgow Central Club on Friday 17th October.
The winning team was Hurlford who pipped Ardrossan in the final.

The Pool Finals were held in Reardons Pool Hall in Glasgow on Friday 21st November.
5 teams competed in a round robin format and the Winners were Fort William
Runners-up were Springburn.

The Snooker Finals were played over 2 days. Thursday 4th December, Singles, Friday
5th December, Pairs in the Glasgow Central Social Club commencing at 11.00
Singles Winner was Robert Barnes, Glasgow Central, Runner-up, Crawford Kennedy, Springburn.
The pairs winners were Glasgow Central, Runners-up Springburn.
